Ribo makes jump to HoK, headlines TNT's esport team, Tropang Alab

Former MLBB star Carlito “Ribo” Ribo makes the jump to the fast-rising Honor of Kings as he takes the lead to the newly launched Tropang Alab Esports team of TNT.

The crew, also composed of lash laner Carl Jioseppe “Calm” Lacsam, jungler Mark Clinton “Fate” Pelayo, farm laner John “Jaycee” Christian, and roamer Ronnel “Stronger” Tan and Charles Richard “Yato” Orlain, is set to see action in the Philippine qualifier of the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3.

The announcement of the roster marked the formal return of Ribo to competitive gaming after being considered one of the most decorated athletes not just in the MLBB Esports scene but in all of PH esports landscape.

He last played for Smart Omega in the last season of the MPL Philippines before venturing out to HoK.

"With Honor of Kings growing in popularity, TNT is proud to support the esports landscape by introducing Tropang Alab, showcasing our commitment to the gaming community, and empowering Filipino talent to shine globally,” said Lloyd Manaloto, TNT group head.

“Isang karangalan para sa amin na officially ma-represent ang TNT, na laging naniniwala sa talento at galing ng Filipino mobile gamers. Sana ay makapagbigay kami ng saya at inspirasyon sa mga gamers sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakita ng aming skills at determinasyon sa esports journey namin,” added Tropang Alab Head Coach Jemvic Pingol.

The PH qualifier of the Honor of King Invitational Season 3 fires off on Friday, Dec. 13 with three slots up for grabs for the main event happening in 2025.
