Authorities rescued two boys aged seven and 10 from their mother who peddled them for online sexual abuse in Tondo, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported.
Police said they received a report from a concerned citizen who claimed that a mother is exploiting her own children on social media.
The MPD Special Operations Unit and Manila District Anti-Cybercrime Team (MDACT) immediately conducted an operation on Monday, Dec. 9, that resulted in the arrest of the 32-year-old woman identified as Princess, a resident of Tondo, Manila.
The police located the woman inside a local computer shop. She was apprehended and taken to Gat Andres Hospital for a medical examination before being brought into police custody for further investigation.
Her two sons were rescued and placed under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), while authorities continue their search for the suspect's 14-year-old daughter, who remains unaccounted for.
The suspect is facing multiple criminal charges for violations of Republic Act 11930, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) Act, and the Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act.
Police said she will also be charged under Republic Act 7610, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
