Barber stabs widow dead in Batangas

SAN PASCUAL, Batangas -- A 64-year-old widow was allegedly stabbed to death by a barber while opening her daughter's store on Monday morning, Dec. 9, in Barangay Bayanan, this town.

Marciana Rosales de Los Reyes was declared dead at San Antonio Hospital due to stab wound in the chest from an icepick by the suspect Sabino, 54, married, of Barangay Sambat here.

Investigation said that the suspect arrived with a companion and stabbed her.

Sabino was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation while his companion managed to flee.

Police recovered the icepick in the crime 
scene.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
