The Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. and SM, Partners for 'Christmas in November'

With SM support, the SSFI have steadfastly brought Christmas joy to so many in November.

Spreading Christmas joy to the less fortunate among us is always a great idea; as there’s nothing as rewarding as the smiling faces and exclamations of happy surprise that beam back. For 26 years now, the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI) have been conducting their ‘Christmas in November’ program, and for two decades now, the SM Group has thrown in their full support as a partner venue and facilitator.

SM City Clark in Pampanga, SM Seaside in Cebu and SM Lanang Davao were the stops of the ‘Christmas in November’ roadshow, highlighting the national scale of the program, with destinations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

November 7, 2024 was children from indigenous communities in Pampanga brought to SM City Clark for a meal, shopping at The SM Store and a carousel ride. The SSFI was represented by Mrs. Nancy dela Rosa, wife of Senator Ronaldo dela Rosa, Ms. Maricel Tulfo, daughter of Senator Raffy Tulfo, and Social Welfare Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay- Villar, along with TIEZA General Manager Mark Lapid.

Cebu Seaside Mall was the November 17 stop, with the SSFI President Love Marie Escudero, accompanied by Mrs. Kathryna Pimentel, wife of Senator Koko Pimentel, Mrs. Nancy dela Rosa and Ms. Maricel Tulfo. Children from the Kythe Foundation, afflicted with cancer and other chronic ailments, were the beneficiaries. A bountiful lunch and shopping at the SM Store were the activities that day.

And on November 27, 2024, Mrs. Nancy dela Rosa hosted children from the TATAG IP Students Foundation to lunch and shopping. At this event, as with the other two, the Senate Assist Caravan was also present, providing social services and medical assistance.

With SM support, the SSFI have steadfastly brought Christmas joy to so many in November. May they continue to do so in the many years to come. It’s a wonderful tradition that deserves our applause.
