K-pop idol Taemin, a member of boy band SHINee, was reunited with Filipino fans when he held his first solo world tour in Manila. 

Taemin held his Ephemeral Gaze World Tour in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Nov. 24. 

Ephemeral Gaze is his first world tour that he launched in South  Korea on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. 

As the curtain fell on stage, Taemin descended from a lift and performed “Deja Vu” from his fifth mini-album “Eternal” that was released in August. He followed this with “Guilty,” “Advice” and “Idea.” 

“Hey guys. Ako ay si Taemin. Na-miss nyo ba ako (I am Taemin. Did you miss me?). Yes, I missed you guys so much as well.  I was here in Manila in October last year. You guys missed me, right? Since that was October, it’s already been a year,” he greeted the crowd. 

He added, “So I was very excited to meet you guys at the time because I was preparing for my solo concert. Finally, we’re able to see each other and I’m very happy right now.”

“First of all, I’m very happy to showcase to you the hard work and long-time prepared concert,” he said. 

According to Taemin, the title of the concert, Ephemeral Gaze, means he is “kinda different depending on how you look at it. But Taemin has always been the same.” 

He said the concert “conveyed the idea that no matter how you look at it, I’ll always be the same Taemin.”

Taemin also performed “Goodbye,” “Heaven,” “I'm Crying,” “Clockwork,” “Not Over You,” “The Unknown Sea,” “Blue,” and “- G.O.A.T.” 

He continued his set with “The Rizzness,” “Sexy In The Air,” “Move,” “Want,” “Criminal” and  “Horizon.” 

After performing “Sexy In The Air,” Taemin noted that Filipinos loved “powerful performances. I got it.” 

When he asked the audience their favorite song, they shouted, “Ring Ding Dong,” SHINee’s main track for their third mini-album “ 2009, Year of Us” released in 2009. 

“It’s 14 years ago, so, right?” said Taemin, who also sang “Lucifer,” “Call Me” and “Replay.” 

For the encore, Taemin sang “Danger,” “Crush,” “Pansy,” “Hypnosis” and “Say Less.” 

“I think your passion is off the roof tonight. It’s a very, very meaningful moment for me,” he said, saying in jest, “Let’s live together. Thank you so much. I will be back.” 

“Thank you so much for today,” said Taemin, who was touched by a fan video containing messages. 

He said, “I think your hearts are so warm. Thank you so much for your love. Actually doing this Asian tour, I’m sorry that it took a long time to meet you guys. At the same time, I was very excited to meet you.” 

“And we’re gonna meet again, right? Thank you so much. I was very happy because tonight, I had precious memories with you,” said Taemin.
