Taguig cop admits to killing, dismembering fellow police officer out of jealousy

A police officer admitted to killing and dismembering a fellow cop after he discovered that the latter had intimate relations with his wife.

Taguig police reported that Lt. Col. Roderick Pascua, 45, admitted to killing Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Emmanuel De Asis, 55, on Nov. 28 in the presence of his wife, PEMS Rosemari Pascua, 44, in the couple's apartment in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.

In his extrajudicial confession, Roderick Pascua said he shot De Asis “after discovering the two engaged in intimate relations,” according to the police report.

After shooting De Asis, Pascua told his wife to get a hacksaw, which he later used in dismembering the victim's body.

He placed the remains in a rice sack, then transported and buried it in his ancestral home in Barangay Pucsusan, Baguio City. He returned to Bicutan, Taguig.

The police exhumed the body of De Asis and brought it to the Cosmopolitan Funeral Services in Baguio City.
