Daniel Padilla fully embraces a new character in the latest action-packed television series "Incognito."

Famous for his key roles in romantic dramas, the Kapamilya actor ventures outside his usual genre with his comeback teleserye alongside Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, and others.

During the grand media conference at the Dolphy Theater on November 29, Daniel explained what motivated him to accept the project.

"Nung unang binanggit sa akin yung kwento nina direk [Lester Ong], sobrang nagkaroon ako ng interest about dun sa private military contractor na storyline. Napasabi ako na ayos yun ah! Tapos nung nabanggit sa akin yung mga kasama, naexcite na rin ako kasi parang ibang timpla na sa akin ito," Daniel said.

(When I first heard about the story, I was immediately intrigued by the private military contractor storyline. I expressed my enthusiasm, saying it was a compelling concept. Once I learned about the cast, I became even more excited, as it seemed like a refreshing mix compared to my usual genre)

Daniel also mentioned that his co-actors, Ian and Richard, encouraged him to take the role.

"Kinumbinsi talaga ako tito ian na gawin ito, tinawagan niya ako, tapos si chard din tumawag sa akin. And ayun nga yung sinasabi nilang elevation gusto ko maging parte nun and factor din sa akin yung pagkukuwento sa akin ni direk lester kung saan papunta yung story," Daniel added.

(Tito Ian actually convinced me to go through with it. He called me, and then Chard called as well. What they said about the elevation really resonated with me; I want to be a part of it. Another important factor for me is how Director Lester described the direction the story will take.)

Director Lester Ong and Des De Guzman, the head of Star Creatives' business unit, discussed what viewers can expect from the series "Incognito."

The show centers around seven individuals, each grappling with personal challenges and seeking a second chance at life. The series delves into their journeys as they unite to confront a common enemy in high-stakes missions.

"This is a story about seven individuals who are going through a lot of challenges in their lives. Ito yung time ng journey nila na they're aspiring for a second chance." Director Lester said.

The cast underwent an extensive four-month training program that included martial arts, Muay Thai, tactical combat, and war games.

Working in his full-action teleserye, Daniel also opened up his thoughts about being in a family where his Tito Robin, and his father Rommel are well-known action stars.

"Wala naman silang binibigay na pressure sa kin, wala rin naman akong nararamdaman na kaba, so I'm just doing my best, kung ano kalabasan niya that's it. And I'm proud sa mga ginagawa naming lahat as a group, excited ako ipakita ito sa erpat [rommel] ko ito, parang panis siya sa akin dito," Daniel said.

(They don't put any pressure on me, I don't feel nervous either, so I'm just doing my best, whatever the outcome is, that's it. And I'm proud of what we all do as a group. I'm excited to show it to my dad [Rommel]. I think I did good on this one)

Working together again after La Luna Sangre, Richard shared it's his dream to see Daniel going on full action series.

"Actually after Iron Heart nagkasama kami ni Daniel sa isang gathering, tapos kinausap ko siya na sana gumawa kami ng action, bagay sayo ang action and then after a few months ito na nangyari na yung incognito. So parang meant to be talaga siya to happen," Richard said.
