Over P1-M worth of shabu seized in Antipolo buy-bust


An intensified campaign against illegal drugs across the province of Rizal led to the confiscation of over P1,054,000 worth of shabu from a 28-year-old man during a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as “Biboy,” a resident of Mandaluyong City. He was arrested following the operation conducted by the Antipolo Component City Police Station, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 4A), in Barangay Mayamot last Wednesday, November 6. 

Also confiscated during the operation include P1,000 cash, a mobile phone, and a coin purse containing a plastic sachet with approximately 155 grams of shabu.

The suspect is currently detained at the Antipolo Custodial Facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“Hindi tayo magpapahinga hangga’t hndi natatanggal ang problemang ito upang mas maging mapayapa at ligtas ang ating komunidad. Nananatili kaming nakatuon sa paghikayat sa publiko na patuloy na makipag tulungan upang labanan ang suliranin na ito (We will not rest until this issue is eradicated for a safer and more peaceful community. We remain focused on encouraging public cooperation in this fight against drugs),” Rizal PPO director Col. Felipe Maraggun said.
