The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as "Wendell" and "Jeffrey."

Based on the police report, the victims, a 62-year-old and a 33-year-old, were robbed by the suspects on Don Chino Roces Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 7.

After receiving the robbery report, the Makati City Police immediately conducted a dragnet operation against the suspects, which led to their arrest in front of Makati Cinema Square in Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City.

"At around 6:50 a.m., officers spotted a motorcycle matching the description provided by the victims. The suspects, who were on board a plateless motorcycle, attempted to evade the authorities but was eventually stopped by pursuing officers," the SPD explained.

"Upon stopping the vehicle, the police recovered a X9 9mm firearm with a serial number and a magazine loaded with five live rounds of ammunition from suspect Wendell, while Jeffrey was found in possession of ¥10,000 (in ¥1,000 bills) and a replica firearm," it added.

The suspects are now facing charges for robbery and illegal possession of firearms.
