Grade 11 student arrested for selling shabu in Taguig

A Grade 11 student was arrested by undercover police officers for selling shabu in Taguig on Nov. 8.

The 17-year-old boy was caught by members of the Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit during a buy-bust operation at about 12:40 a.m. in Barangay Fort Bonifacio.

The police operatives posed as buyers and conducted the operation that resulted in the seizure of seven plastic sachets containing 18.2 grams of shabu with a value of P123,760 and P500 buy-bust money.

The student was turned over by the police to the Bahay Pag-asa in Taguig, which serves as a temporary shelter for children in conflict with the law.

“This operation serves as a stern reminder that no one, regardless of age, is exempt from the law. We will continue to pursue drug traffickers and those who endanger the youth by involving them in illegal activities,” said Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang, Southern Police District director.

Recently, the police arrested a 16-year-old boy for possession of shabu and marijuana, and a 15-year-old girl for shabu in Taguig.
