BACOLOD CITY – A 54-year-old electric bike (e-bike) driver was gunned down in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The victim was identified as Domingo Superficial.
Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, Silay police chief, said the victim was sitting on his e-bike when two unidentified persons on a motorcycle arrived and shot him in the head.
The victim was declared dead in a hospital.
Recovered from the crime scene were five fired .45 caliber cartridges.
Darroca said they have obtained a copy of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage and have persons of interest.
Police are looking into grudges as possible motive in the incident.
Darroca said that the victim was a former manager in a taxi firm.
