6-vehicle pileup leaves 1 dead, scores injured in Makati

One person was killed while around five to six others were injured in a six-vehicle collision at the corner of Osmeña Highway and Zobel Roxas Street in Makati City early Wednesday morning, November 6.

According to authorities, the accident that occurred at around 12:55 a.m. involved six vehicles, including a panel van, a trailer truck, a tanker, a luxury SUV, and other vehicles.

Police and rescue workers confirmed the death of the panel van's driver due to the strong impact of the crash.

Two of the panel van's passengers were also hurt in the accident. They were immediately rushed to the hospital.

The accident caused heavy traffic in the area, prompting authorities to advise motorists to find alternative routes especially those going to the Manila area.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
