Leviste aids 'Kristine' victims in Batangas

BATANGAS CITY – Solar Philippines founder Leandro Legarda Leviste has provided a total of 150,000 relief packs to victims of severe tropical storm “Kristine” in 284 barangays in this province.

Aside from the relief packs coordinated through Leviste’s Lingkod Legarda Leviste Foundation, Leviste, son of Sen. Loren Legarda, distributed construction materials to families with partially or fully destroyed homes in Batangas.

Nasugbu, Batangas Mayor Antonio Barcelon thanked Leviste for the assistance.

“Taos puso kaming nagpapasalamat kay Ginoong Leandro ‘Lean’ Legarda Leviste sa kaniyang mga naipahatid na tulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong si Kristine,” Barcelon said.

The Lingkod Legarda Leviste Foundation vowed continued assistance to storm victims in this province which is now under a state of calamity.

Kristine brought unprecedented flooding and displaced thousands and caused extensive damage in Balayan, Calatagan, Lemery, Lian, Nasugbu, Taal, Tuy, and Calaca City.
