Four teams bannered by Lyceum try to fortify their respective Final Four bids when NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball resumes on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

With College of St. Benilde and Mapua already advancing to the next stage, expect all the remaining teams to race for the remaining two semifinal berths in the crucial last two weeks of eliminations.

A victory for Lyceum would improve its 6-8 win-loss tally, not only tying with Letran but also putting them half a game behind fourth-running Emilio Aguinaldo College (7-7).

San Sebastian, though, is expected to keep its flickering Final Four hopes alive as it must win this game to hike its 4-10 tally and remain in contention.

The Stags are also determined to duplicate their 95-93 first-round win over the Pirates last Sept. 11, while also gunning to extend their 88-75 triumph over the Arellano Chiefs last Oct. 27.

Like San Sebastian, JRU is not losing hope in its Final Four drive with its 4-10 card, but it would have to double its efforts as Arellano, which totes 5-9 mark at eighth place, seeks for retribution from its 92-89 first-round loss to the Bombers last Sept. 25.

Shawn Argente and Joshua Guiab are slated to carry the fight for JRU, which is also aiming to bounce back from an 83-70 defeat to San Beda in their last game, while Arellano boasts Lorenz Capulong and Renzo Abiera.
