CAAP lauded for successful hosting of international civil aviation conference

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has recognized the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for successful hosting of the five-day 59th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation in Cebu.

ICAO Regional Director Tao Ma said the good hosting of the event contributed to a highly productive conference outcome and fostered new and renewed partnerships.

“Organizing and conducting the Conference to such a high standard is not easy and was only made possible by the dedication of your team, who worked tirelessly for many months before and during the Conference,” said Tao.

The ICAO President of the Council, Salvatore Sciacchitano, and Secretary General, Juan Carlos Salazar, also expressed appreciation for the support of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista.

“The CAAP and the DOTr appreciate the invaluable support of the International Civil Aviation Organization in the success of this conference. I hope that we have provided you with the most significant conference experience so far,” said CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo.
