Justin Brownlee assured fans he was fine after the Ginebra star appeared to be hurting several times during their Game 3 duel against TNT Tropang Giga in the PBA Governors Cup finals.

“No concern, [I’m] just getting old,” said Brownlee moments after the Gin Kings won 85-73 last Friday, Nov. 1, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“It’s just a little cramp. Everybody knows I have a history of cramps like that,” he added.
At 36, Brownlee still has a lot of gas left in the tank, doing it all on both ends to keep their title bid alive. He played for almost 45 minutes, posting 18 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and one steal – a statline that includes his two crucial stops that boosted Ginebra down the stretch.
He outshone another all-around effort came from Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who played for two consecutive 48-minute games in the championship round.
At press time, the Gin Kings are actually seeking an equalizer against the Tropang Giga in Game 4 at the same venue.
“Being hurt at this point, can’t make it an excuse…Rondae (Hollis-Jefferson), I’m sure, he’s playing the whole conference and playing at a high level. I’m pretty sure everybody got little aches and pains here and there [and] nothing serious,” Brownlee said.
“I think that we have to match them [in defense] or be better, so I definitely tried to emphasize defense today,” he added.
