Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV says Vice President Sara Duterte has "topak" and therefore must be unseated.

"Kailangan matanggal na to sa pwesto...may topak eh. Alam naman natin, hindi naman tayo psychiatrist, pero alam natin yung may topak at yung normal," Trillanes told reporters Wednesday, Nov. 27 on the sidelines of the House quad-committee (quad-comm) hearing.

(She needs to be removed from her post...she has a spell of craziness. We know that, we're not psychiatrists, but we can tell the crazy for the normal.)

"Ito, hindi ito normal (This isn't normal)," the outspoken Trillanes said of the Vice President.

Trillanes said that as the Vice President, Dutere can become the President anytime, since she's the constitutional successor.

The retired Navy lieutenant said that while Duterte's recent death threats against President Marcos and other government officials have earned her cases, these can only do so much.

"Pwede siyang kasuhan criminally, in fact kinakasuhan na siya ngayon (She can be charged criminally, in fact she is already being charged.)

"Pero kahit na kasuhan ka ng criminal cases, still, Vice President ka pa rin. So anything that happens to the President, pwede ka parin maging Presidente," argued Trillanes.

(But even if you file criminal cases, you're still the Vice President. So anything that happens to the President, you can still succeed him as the President.)

Impeachment complaint is coming

Trillanes hinted that an impeachment case against the Vice President will be filed soon.

"Hinog na hinog na [para sa impeachment] (She's very ripe for impeachment)," he said.

"Siguro naman, nakikita naman ng mga kababayan natin, lahat ng mga dangers, mga red flags, yung unfitness ng Duterte, yung Sara Duterte, to hold the position of Vice President," Trillanes said.

(Our countrymen have probably seen the dangers, the red flags, the unfitness of Duterte, that Sara Duterte to hold the position of Vice President.)

"Kaya, imagine mo yung asal na nilalabas niya, pinapakita niya, bibigyan mo ng power ng presidency yan, dapat kikilabutan yung bawat Pilipino. Wala ito sa tamang katinuan," the long-time Duterte family critic further said.

(So imagine if someone with that demeanor is given the power of the presidency, that should frighten every Filipino. That person is not of sound mind.)

An impeachment case begins with the filing of a complaint at the House of Representatives. The case must be filed by a non-member.

A joint effort

The ex-senator confirmed that he has a running draft complaint that he updates with new information.

"I'm not saying, ako yung mag-file (that I will file), I'm saying, meron at meron magfa-file (there will surely be a filing)...this is a joint effort," Trillanes teased the reporters.

"Basta antabayanan na lang natin...hindi katagalan ang aantayin niyo. (Let's just wait for it...you won't be waiting for long)."

"Bottom line, dapat hindi na makabalik sa pwesto itong mga Duterte kasi malaking perwisyo ang ginagawa nito sa bayan," he added.

(Bottom line, the Dutertes must not be allowed to return to power because they cause huge trouble for the country.)
