Robinsons Malls joins NCW celebration, promotes child safety

Hosts child safety events in partnership with DOJ and QCHD

Every November, the Philippines celebrate National Children’s Month (NCW). This is designed to raise awareness about children’s rights and the issues that affect their welfare. Above all, it serves as a platform to empower children, encouraging them to express themselves and share their concerns. 

In effort to support this movement, Robinsons Malls partnered with the government units in rolling out different activities. With this year’s celebration theme "Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines" Robinsons Malls serves as the official venue for key events in partnership with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Quezon City Health Department (QCHD). 

“Robinsons Malls will host activities aligned with the theme highlighting its unwavering commitment to promoting child welfare and creating safe, family-friendly spaces,” sharesJoel Lumanlan, VP for Operations and Marketing, Robinsons Malls.  

Last November 25, 2024, Robinsons Magnolia welcomed families and communities to Hakbang sa Wastong Kalinga, an interactive event organized in collaboration with QCHD, District IV. Participants from barangays across District IV engaged  in lectures and games that highlighted good health, proper nutrition, responsible caregiving, and the rights of children. The event provided practical knowledge and fostered nurturing environments for children.

Robinsons Manila, on the other hand,  will team up with the DOJ on November 27, 2024,  to present a Storytelling Event on Online Safety. This engaging session will teach young mall-goers essential tips to navigate the digital world safely. The event will feature hand and push puppets by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), bringing to life the book "Ang Paglalakbay ni Tala," created by DOJ's private partners from PLDT/Smart and Kids for Kids PH. Through storytelling and interactive activities, children will learn how to protect themselves from online risks while enjoying an enriching experience.

As a destination known for vibrant, family-friendly spaces, Robinsons Malls continuously elevates its programs for its young patrons. Initiatives like Weekends are for Kids, Kidchella, and RMallsAcademy as well as thoughtfully designed play areas, reflect Robinsons Malls' commitment to creating memorable experiences for children.
