Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has chided the people who believe in what former president Rodrigo Duterte says.
In a chance interview with House reporters Wednesday, Nov. 27, Trillanes was asked to react to his new tag from Duterte--that' he's Malacañang's "attack dog".
"Alam niyo si Digong, at this point in time kung panghahawakan mo iyong sasabihin niya, talagang dadalhin ka niyan sa impyerno," Trillanes said, referring to Duterte by his nickname.
(You know, at this point, you will be brought to hell if you hold Digong to his word.)
"You would have to be so naive, so politically dense, or talagang cult follower ka (or really a cult follower) to actually believe him," added the outspoken former Navy lieutenant.
"He can say whatever he wants to say," Trillanes further said.
Trillanes attended Wednesday's quad-committee (quad-comm) hearing in the House of Representatives as a resource person.
He said that he would expose Duterte's alleged connection to the illegal drug trade in the hearing. The ex-senator has yet to be recognized by the panel as of this posting.
