Mayor Vico Sotto also led the distribution of certificates of recognition during the Pugay Tagumpay Ceremonial Rites held at Tanghalang Pasigueño last Nov. 25.
The local government said the assistance that they will provide aims to help and support graduated families with children who are still attending school.
During the ceremonial rites, the local government recognized and celebrated the efforts of 4Ps beneficiaries who have achieved a “self-sufficient" level of living.
It said that the beneficiaries are considered self-sufficient if their family no longer has children aged 0 to 18 who require monitoring or registration in the program. Also, if they have reached Level 3 in terms of livelihood, making them no longer dependent on 4Ps support.
To ensure that graduates maintain their self-sufficient status, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also endorsed them to the local government as part of the Kilos-Unlad Case Management Framework. The initiatives allow the LGU to continue supporting the families with existing programs to prevent them from falling back into poverty.
The event was attended by Rep. Roman Romulo, City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office Head Ma. Teresa Briones, members of the Local Advisory Council, and representatives from DSWD-National Capital Region.
The program aims to provide financial assistance while supporting the health and education of children from beneficiary families.
