1 hurt as car crashes into electric pole in Manila

A female passenger was injured after the car she was riding in lost control and crashed into an electric pole in Ermita, Manila, on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

According to the police report, the driver of the vehicle was traveling southbound along Natividad corner Ayala at around 9 a.m. when he suddenly lost control of the car. 

Police said the vehicle veered into the opposite lane and crashed into an electric pole.

Of the three occupants in the car, only one passenger sustained injuries. She had wounds on her lip and chin. 

The injured passenger received immediate treatment from members of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) Medical Response Team who arrived quickly at the scene after the incident was reported.

After receiving first aid, the victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash while efforts are underway to secure the area and prevent future accidents.
