CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Three individuals were allegedly hacked to death by two live-in partners during a drinking spree in Barangay Mayapa, this city, on Sunday night, Nov. 24.
Police identified the victims as Felix A. Busion, 64; Vivian, jobless, and Dante Luzano, caretaker.
The cadavers of Luzano, Vivian, and Busion were discovered on Monday morning, Nov. 25.
Police said Busion was lying on the ground, Vivian on a bed inside a shanty, and Luzano lying on a mono block sofa outside.
A witness, Wilfredo Torres, 67, told police that he saw the victims with a woman identified as Cherry, 36, having a drinking spree in front the shanty before the incident happened.
Investigation revealed that Luzano was allegedly having an affair with Vivian.
Days prior to the incident, a suspect, Anthony, Cherry's live-in partner, confronted Luzano and allegedly threatened to kill him if he finds him together again with Vivian.
Anthony and Cherry were arrested in a manhunt operation.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and multiple murder charges will be filed against the suspects.
Stabbed to death
BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – A 38-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by a laborer in Cardama Compound, Barangay Timbao, this city, on Monday, Nov. 25.
Police identified the victim as Francis G. Asis.
Investigation said that the suspect, Ruel, 34, was having a drinking spree with co-workers while the victim and a companion were talking nearby.
The suspect approached and confronted the victim, resulting in a heated argument. Ruel drew a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the stomach.
The suspect fled onboard a motorcycle and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The suspect faces homicide charges and police are conducting a manhunt and follow-up investigation.
Boy drowns
IBAAN, Batangas – A 12-year-old student drowned on a river in Barangay Coliat here on Monday.
Police identified the victim as Rigor Perez Mangubat of Barangay Quilo, this town.
Investigation said the victim and companions were playing on the river when Mangubat went missing.
Mangubat was later found by his companions three meters underwater.
His body was brought home, police said.
