2 minors killed in Ilocos Sur motorcycle crash

SANTA MARIA, Ilocos Sur – Two minors were killed in a motorcycle crash on a bridge in Barangay Laslasong here on Monday.

Police Major Macario Dulawan Jr., chief of police here, identified the victims as Junjun, motorcycle driver, and back rider Sonny, residents of Barangay Lingsat, this town.

Dulawan said Junjun lost control of the motorcycle which rammed the concrete railings.

The victims were thrown 20 meters away and sustained serious injuries. They were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.

Dulawan said the victims were traveling without helmets and were drunk when the accident happened.

Police reminded people not to drive any vehicle when drunk to avoid accidents.
