Sexagenarian farmer gunned down in Sipalay City

BACOLOD CITY – A 66-year-old farmer was found dead with bullet wounds in Sitio Omas, Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Police withheld the name of the victim upon the request of the family.

Police Capt. Jose Michael Muñez, deputy chief of the Sipalay City Police Station, said the victim had two bullet wounds in the chest.

Muñez said the victim’s body was discovered by a neighbor who informed his family.

The victim was living alone in the upland part of the barangay.

Police have yet to determine the motive and find witnesses in the killing.
