Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, Nov. 25, lamented the government's supposed inaction over threats against her life, adding that she is no longer expecting any fairness from the administration.
Duterte asked "what kind of country is this" that the government is considering a threat against the President a real threat, but not the threat against the Vice President.

"Nag-complain ako noon (I filed a complaint before) if you can remember in the media, and they didn't dismiss it, everything is well documented, with documents and videos," Duterte said in an interview with reporters after attending a House hearing on the alleged misuse of the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) funds.
"Nagsabi ang NSC, na national security concern ang threat sa President (For the National Security Council, the threat to the President is a national security concern). Pero (But) apparently, they really do not consider the threat to the Vice President as anything of a concern," she added.
Duterte argued that she is also part of the government, elected by the people to the second highest seat.
The Vice President vented out after a recent remark she made against President Marcos, his wife Liza, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Duterte, in a midnight press conference, disclosed that she already contracted an assassin to kill the three once she gets killed—a remark she eventually said was taken out of context.
The Vice President's pronouncement was not taken lightly by the government's security forces, which have already rolled out an investigation into as well as appropriate action on the threat.
Duterte said she is also no longer expecting fairness from the government that is why she is now "pussyfooting with court cases."
"We do not expect fairness. Imagine, saan ka nakahanap, na-admit na 'yung tao sa hospital, bigla na lang papasok, discharged na siya, in less than an hour. Nasaan ang hustisya dyan? Saan ang hustisya dito? (Where have you seen someone currently admitted at the hospital, but is suddenly told that she can already be discharged after an hour? Where's the justice in that?)" she added.
