Like in his previous foreign trip, President Marcos has once again designated three Cabinet officials as the government's caretaker while he is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Marcos has assigned anew an executive committee headed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado Estrella III.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the three Cabinet members will be the caretaker committee while Marcos is abroad.

In the past, Marcos would designate Duterte as the government's caretaker. But the President started delegating the task to an executive committee in October when he left for Laos to participate in the  Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

This time, Marcos will be in UAE on Tuesday, Nov. 26, for a one-day working visit.

Malacañang said the trip would only have a lean party but has a "high purpose," saying "the goodwill and opportunities it will create will be substantial, resulting in stronger Philippine-UAE relations."

It also disclosed that "the accompanying delegation has been trimmed to the barest minimum."

The Chief Executive is expected to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday afternoon.
