Lt. Col. J-jay Javines, spokesperson of the 3rd Infantry Division, said that deradicalization is a process in which former NPA rebels are given psycho-social interventions to enable them to abandon their communist and radical beliefs and provide awareness and education on the various government programs that will help them return to normal life.
Participants will engage in activities aimed at personal growth, psychological rehabilitation, and civic engagement, he said.
The 23-day program offers access to livelihood opportunities facilitated by various government agencies within the provincial government as part of the broader E-CLIP committee’s reintegration strategy.
This initiative is not just about reintegration, it is a clear testament to our commitment to peace and sustainable development, the 302nd Infantry Brigade (IBde) said.
They commended the rebel returnees’ courage in choosing this new path. “We stand with you as you take the first steps toward rebuilding your lives and contributing to the progress of our communities.”
