Boy found dead 4 days after he was reported missing

BACOLOD CITY – A missing eight-year-old boy was found dead in Sitio Omot, Barangay Santol, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The victim was found four days after he was reported missing on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

A barangay watchman or tanod discovered the victim’s decomposing body in a sugarcane field.

Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan, Binalbagan police chief, said the victim was half-naked when he was found.

Batadlan said the victim was last seen alive by his family when he left their house for school Tuesday morning.

Batadlan said they are awaiting the result of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
