The Parañaque City government distributed livelihood package to 16 persons who used drugs (PWUDs) as part of city’s Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week 2024 from Nov. 17 to 23.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of siomai and siopao food carts to 16 beneficiaries of PWUDs on Friday, Nov. 22.

Olivarez said the beneficiaries were given business food carts for them to earn a living and get away from using drugs.

He said the event was made possible through the initiatives of the Parañaque Anti-Drug Abuse Office led by Dr. Himmler Cos.

The mayor is very positive that beneficiaries will get away from drugs and will start a new life with the business food carts given to them by the city government.
