Gasataya said that P34 million was allocated for the project in line with the national program for specialty centers.
He said that he pushed for the project due to the increasing number of cancer cases, particularly breast cancer, here and Negros Occidental.
Gasataya said that the first phase is the construction of a two-story building inside the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
He said that they will lobby with the Department of Health for the medical equipment for the facility. “We are fast-tracking everything.”
Gasataya said that they are eyeing an expansion of the building to cater more patients.
