Navotas LGU breaks ground for Phase 2 of NavotaAs Homes III

The Navotas City local government along with the National Housing Authority (NHA) on Friday, Nov. 21, broke ground for the construction of the NavotaAs Homes III-Tanza 1 Phase 2 in Barangay Tanza, Navotas City.

According to the city’s Public Information Office, the housing project features 5.6 hectares consisting of 24 five-story buildings with 60 units each building that will benefit more than 1,400 Navoteño residents.

“We want to ensure that Navoteños, especially those from coastal and flood-prone areas, have secure and dignified homes,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.

“More importantly, we want them to have a fresh start. 'Bagong bahay, bagong buhay' embodies our dream of providing them with not just a home but a new beginning filled with hope and opportunity,” he added.

The city government has already developed five housing projects with a total of 2,187 units that benefit the families displaced by fires, typhoons and other calamities.

Meanwhile, Congressman Toby Tiangco highlighted the project’s long-term benefits.

“This project reflects our unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of Navoteños. Providing safe, accessible, and well-equipped housing is not just about shelter but about building a foundation for a brighter future,” he said.

They expressed optimism that both phases of the project would be completed and ready for inauguration by next year.

The event was also attended by Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez, NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, and NHA NCR North Sector Regional Manager Engr. Jovita G. Panopio.

City councilors, barangay officials, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development USec. Ronald Samuel T. Young also graced the event.
