Man nabbed for motorcycle theft, illegal possession of firearm in Las Piñas


A 24-year-old man was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City Police following a report from a ride-hailing app driver that his motorcycle was stolen on Nov. 22.

Las Piñas City Police chief, Col. Sandro Tafalla, identified the suspect as “Jerome,” 24. He was arrested at around 12:30 p.m. in Barangay Manuyo Dos after authorities immediately responded to the report.

The victim's motorcycle was recovered, while a .38 caliber revolver with four live ammunition was also confiscated from the suspect.

Authorities said the suspect was turned over and detained at the Anti-Carnapping Unit and will be charged with carnapping and illegal possession of firearms.
