A seven-year-old boy died after being accidentally shot by his older brother using the service firearm of their father who is a member of the Northern Police District.
Based on the investigation conducted by the Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Section, the policeman's 17-year-old son found the gun inside the father's locker on Thursday evening, Nov. 23.
The son accidentally pulled the trigger of the gun and the bullet went through the other bedroom where the victim was sleeping.
The younger son was hit in the left part of his back. He was rushed to the Mary Johnston Hospital where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, the father said he will not blame his son because it was an accident.
Police said the father of the children may face administrative cases.
