The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that the application period for the March 2, 2025 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) will run from Nov. 19, 2024 to Jan. 3, 2025.

The examination will be conducted across 92 testing centers nationwide, covering 16 regions to accommodate those seeking eligibility for first and second-level positions in the Philippine civil service.

The CSC said applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and that regional offices (ROs) or field offices (FOs) may close their application intake earlier than the deadline once the target number of applicants has been reached.

It added that CSC ROs and FOs will be suspended from Dec. 16 to 27 to allow CSC offices to focus on year-end reports and program evaluations.

Applicants are advised to confirm the availability of exam slots with the CSC office in their area before submitting their applications.

To apply for the CSC-PPT, the applicant must meet the following requirements: Be a Filipino citizen; at least 18 years old on the date of application; of good moral character; have no prior conviction for crimes involving moral turpitude, disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; and have not been dishonorably discharged from the military or dismissed for cause from any government position.

Applicants must also not have taken the same level of the career service examination, either through PPT or computerized examination, within three months of the exam date.

The CSC added that interested individuals may apply regardless of their educational background.

To apply, they must submit the following: A fully accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2023–Career Service-Professional/Career Service-Subprofessional) available at CSC ROs and FOs, or downloadable from the CSC website; four copies of passport-size ID pictures with handwritten name tags showing the signature over the printed full name; original and photocopy of a valid ID card accepted for the civil service exam; and examination fee of P500.

Applicants are also encouraged to check with their respective CSC ROs and FOs for specific filing procedures.

The CSC reiterated that it does not hold or endorse any review classes or publish review materials for the career service examinations.

In addition, it said it has not accredited any individuals, groups, or review centers to produce or sell review materials or offer review sessions.
