Mayor John Rey Tiangco led the lighting ceremony, the ribbon-cutting of the Navotas Christmas Bazaar, and the relaunching of the NavoConnect free Wi-Fi.
“Christmas is a time to celebrate family ties and relationships. Every year, we make it a point to have our Christmas decorations colorful and fun. This is to encourage Navoteño families to spend time and bond with each other without the hassle of travel and extra spending,” Tiangco said.

The program allows each user to access a free internet connection for 30 minutes daily and accommodates 250 users at a given time.
The Navotas Citywalk and Amphitheater is one of the 38 wifi hotspots in the city. Other hotspots include the Navotas City Hall, Navotas Centennial Park and Greenzone Park, public markets, some barangay halls, health centers, and public schools.
Meanwhile, the bazaar features 34 Navoteño entrepreneurs selling food products, souvenir items, clothes and accessories. It is open from November 21 to Dec. 22 from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight.
