Cops seize P2-M illegal drugs in QC buy-bust op

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confiscated a total of P2,250,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The suspect was identified as Lemuel Lucero, 29, a resident of Pasay City.

According to the police report, operatives from the Batasan Police Station (PS 6) conducted the operation at around 6:55 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Batasan Hills where they successfully purchased P48,000 worth of shabu from the suspect, resulting in his immediate arrest.

Lucero yielded 300 grams of shabu worth P2,040,000, 140 grams of high-grade marijuana worth P210,000, a cellular phone, a black sling bag, and the buy-bust money.

He will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the police said.
