The Fighting Maroons (9-1), who are targeting a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinal, go for their fourth straight and 10th overall win against the lowly Bulldogs (2-8) in their 3:30 p.m. clash.

Opening the action-filled afternoon is the clash between the Red Warriors (6-4) and the Tamaraws (3-7) at 12 p.m.

The State U, which is currently in second place just behind defending champion La Salle (10-1), vows to pour it all into its last four games.

“Well, expect us we’ll work harder and improve as a team. Dahan-dahan pa kasi meron pa kaming four games pa, and each game would be a stepping stone for us to get better,” said Monteverde.

“Importante lang, we should be healthy as a team then in a way, and slowly still improve,” he added.

Fresh from their 75-47 romp of Ateneo (3-8), the talent-laden Maroons are expected to lean on Francis Lopez, JD Cagulangan, Quentin Millora-Brown, Jacob Bayla, and Reyland Torres.

On the other, the Jhocson-based crew eyes to essay a stunning victory to end its three-game skid including a 74-58 defeat to UE in its last contest.

After resting for more than a week, the Bulldogs, for sure, have their legs fresh and will bank anew on Jolo Manansala, Jake Figueroa and emerging rookie Tebol Garcia.
