BUTUAN CITY – Police said All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in the Caraga region were generally peaceful.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said no untoward incidents were recorded in major cemeteries, seaports, airports, terminals, and other public and private places.

“We didn’t see any problem in the different areas in the region,” Ometer said. “The observance was generally peaceful and as expected we did not receive any complaints or reports of untoward incidents,” she added.

“Security will remain tight in all ports, terminals, and cemeteries even after ‘Undas’ as hundreds of passengers are expected to travel back to their respective working places,” Ometer said.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro personally supervised the deployment of policemen and inspected police headquarters and stations in the region.
