The release of the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated “Squid Game” season 2 has become successful, garnering 11.65 million views from Nov. 1 to 2.
Viewers were curious about what’s in store for the new season of “Squid Game” after season 1 became a global hit.
They were also interested in who the players are, especially the new cast members joining Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon and Gong Yoo.
One of those who caught the attention of netizens was actor Park Sung-hoon, known for starring in “The Glory” and “Queen of Tears.”
In the "Squid Game" season 2 (오징어 게임2) teaser, Park Sung-hoon appeared like a woman with long hair and makeup including eyeliner and lipstick. The character that he is playing has not been revealed yet.
Korean media reported that netizens speculated on whether Park Sung-hoon’s character is a transgender.
Netizens were also excited to see T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) who made his debut in Big Bang in 2006.
“Squid Game” season 2 will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 26.
