She probably thought it would earn her a huge number of “likes.”
But it resulted in the opposite.
Talking about actress Bea Alonzo’s decision to post on social media photos of her as Lyle Menendez, a convicted murderer, who together with his brother, Erik, made headlines after killing their parents.
The duo’s case is hot topic again after it was recently featured on Netflix as series.
Bea shared the photos to fans in an effort to celebrate Halloween.
One of these even showed her pointing a gun towards the viewer.
“Call me Lyle,” the caption of one of the photos read, along with the hashtag “Halloween 2024.”
She took it down following criticism.
There was no explanation though.
It’s as if she was only too eager to move on from the faux pas.
But some netizens aren’t.
Not a few of them are still grumbling about it.
Some of the comments:
“This is embarrassing...”
“How tasteless, stupid.”
“What made you think this is okay??”
“Disgusting. Some artistas are simply out of touch.”
Obviously, Bea didn’t consult Martin del Rosario before deciding on the matter.
Note the actor suffered backlash two years ago dressing up as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween.
He was quick to apologize, though.
Bea is still silent as of writing.
