The Walt Disney Company Asia-Pacific showcases power of storytelling with impressive theatrical and streaming slate for 2025 and beyond

The Walt Disney Company’s creative momentum was on full display at the 2024 Disney APAC Content Showcase today, with an immersive presentation of its 2025-2026 theatrical and streaming slate that transported audiences to new worlds and new stories.
The star-studded event at Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands saw the world-class storytelling engines of the company take center stage with exclusive previews of highly anticipated releases and major title announcements from its award-winning creative studios, including Disney, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios.

Today’s event saw the unveiling of several previews and sneak peeks never seen before in APAC, including song previews from upcoming movies Mufasa: The Lion King, Disney’s Snow White and Moana 2; and first looks at Disney’s TRON: Ares, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2, Pixar’s Hoppers and Dream Productions; Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and much more.

Following the end of the showcase, fans from across APAC had the chance to see the stars of Disney storytelling from Hollywood, Korea and Japan. The Disney Presents: A Night Of Stars fan event featured Anthony Mackie, star of Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World, the stars of upcoming Disney+ K-dramas Hyper Knife – Park Eunbin, Sul Kyunggu; Knock-Off – Kim Soohyun, Cho Boah; Light Shop – Ju Jihoon, Park Boyoung; Low Life – Ryu Seungryong, Yang Sejong, Lim Soojung; Nine Puzzles – Kim Dami, Son Sukku and Unmasked – Kim Hyesoo, Jung Sungil, as well as the celebrated cast of Disney+ Japan’s hit drama series Gannibal – Yuya Yagira and Show Kasamatsu.
Tomorrow, The Walt Disney Company’s biggest ever APAC Content Showcase will continue with exclusive reveals spotlighting the future of Disney General Entertainment and APAC Local Originals coming to Disney+.

Disney
● Mufasa: The Lion King – Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Today’s showcase featured a special message from Mufasa: The Lion King director Barry Jenkins and an APAC-first screening of upcoming original song “I Always Wanted A Brother”. Mufasa: The Lion King is set to premiere in theaters Dec. 20, 2024.
● Disney’s Snow White – A live action reimagining of the classic tale, today’s showcase featured a special message from Snow White actress Rachel Zegler and an APAC-first preview of “Whistle While You Work” for this movie which is set to premiere in theaters March 21, 2025.
● Lilo & Stitch – A live-action reimagining of the animated classic about a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps mend her broken family. Today’s showcase featured a preview of Stitch’s new look for this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters May 23, 2025.
● TRON: Ares – This upcoming movie follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. Today’s showcase featured a special message from Ares actor Jared Leto and an APAC-first preview from the movie which is set to premiere in theaters Oct. 10, 2025.
20th Century Studios
● The Amateur – A captivating story about a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible. Today’s showcase featured a special message from Rami Malek who plays Charlie Heller and a trailer from the upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters April 11, 2025.
● Avatar: Fire and Ash – On Dec. 19, 2025, audiences will return to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family. Today’s showcase saw concept art from this upcoming movie featured.
Searchlight
● A Real Pain – Mismatched cousins, David and Benji, reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. Today’s showcase featured a preview of this upcoming movie set to release in theaters soon.
● A Complete Unknown – New York, early 1960s. Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives in the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. As he forms his most intimate relationships during his rise to fame, he grows restless with the folk movement and, refusing to be defined, makes a controversial choice that culturally reverberates worldwide. Timothée Chalamet stars and sings as Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s “A Complete Unknown”, the electric true story behind the rise of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters in history. Today’s showcase featured a preview of this upcoming movie set to release in theaters soon.
Walt Disney Animation Studios
● Moana 2 – Moana and Maui reunite for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. Today’s showcase featured an APAC-first preview of this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters Nov. 27, 2024.
● Zootopia 2 – On Nov. 26, 2025, detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. A preview of part of this upcoming movie was highlighted as part of today’s showcase.
Pixar
● Elio - Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination, finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be. Elio debuts in theaters on June 13, 2025.
● Hoppers – An all-new movie from Pixar that introduces Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic animal: an adorable beaver. Today’s showcase featured a preview of this upcoming movie.
● Toy Story 5 – This time around, it’s Toy meets Tech when Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder as they go head to head with an all-new threat to playtime. Today’s showcase featured recently released concept art from this upcoming movie.
* Incredibles 3 – Excitement built around the third instalment of the popular movie series about a superhero family.
● Dream Productions – Set between Inside Out and Inside Out 2, Dream Productions is a series about the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true. An APAC-first preview of this upcoming series set to debut on Disney+ Dec. 11, 2024, was featured during today’s showcase.
● Win or Lose – A new series that reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—as they prepare for a championship softball game. Today’s showcase featured a special preview of this upcoming series set to debut on Disney+ Feb. 19, 2025.
Lucasfilm
● The Mandalorian and Grogu – This exciting new adventure in the Mandalorian and Grogu’s journey is currently in production. Today’s showcase featured a special message from director Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni and a preview of this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters on May 22, 2026.
● Skeleton Crew - Star Wars: Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home becomes a greater adventure than they ever imagined, as they encounter unlikely allies and enemies along the way — including a mysterious character named Jod, portrayed by Jude Law. Today’s showcase featured a special message from Jude Law ahead of the series’ release on Disney+ Dec. 3, 2024.
● Andor Season 2 – Andor, the acclaimed thriller, returns for its long-awaited conclusion. The twelve episodes of Season Two will carry the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance over the climactic four years that lead to the discovery of The Death Star and the events of Rogue One. Today’s showcase featured a preview of the upcoming Disney+ series, which launches on April 22, 2025.
Marvel Animation
● What If…? Season 3 – Marvel’s animated series What If...? returns in Season 3 for its culminating adventure through the multiverse. Today’s showcase featured an APAC-first preview of the upcoming series set to premiere on Disney+ Dec. 22, 2024.
● Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man - An animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike anything we've ever seen, and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. Today’s showcase saw an APAC-first preview of the upcoming series set to premiere on Disney+ Jan. 29, 2025.
Marvel Television
● Daredevil: Born Again – Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course. Today’s showcase featured an APAC-first preview of this upcoming series set to premiere on Disney+ March 4, 2025.
●Ironheart – Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Television’s Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Today’s showcase featured an APAC-first preview of this upcoming series set to debut on Disney+ on June 24, 2025.
Marvel Studios
● The Fantastic Four: First Steps – Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family. Today’s showcase featured a preview of this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters July 25, 2025.
● Thunderbolts* - Marvel Studios and a crew of indie veterans who sold out present Thunderbolts*, an irreverent team-up featuring depressed assassin Yelena Belova alongside the MCU’s least anticipated band of misfits. Today’s showcase featured a message from Red Guardian actor David Harbour and a preview of this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters May 2, 2025.
● Captain America: Brave New World – Anthony Mackie returns as the high-flying hero Sam Wilson, who’s officially taken up the mantle of Captain America. After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red. Today’s showcase featured an in-person appearance and exclusive Q&A from Mackie himself. The film releases on Feb. 14, 2025.
