Mayor John Rey Tiangco led the inauguration of the new Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and specialty clinics of Navotas City Hospital (NCH) on Tuesday, November 19.
The new specialty clinics include women’s health, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and a heart station equipped with 2D echo and ECG facilities.
The Intensive Care Units have specific cases for pediatric, high-risk pregnancy, and surgical.
Operating rooms were expanded to accommodate more patients.
“From its humble beginnings in 2015 as the city's first hospital, we have made significant progress. Today, we unlock another level by inaugurating ICU and additional specialty clinics,” Mayor Tiangco said.
The developments aim to enhance healthcare services for Navoteños, marking another step in achieving a Level 2 accreditation from the Department of Health.
“These facilities address the growing demand for medical services in Navotas. While we hope the ICUs remain underutilized — signaling good health among our citizens — we know they will serve as a venue for many miracles, helping patients recover and return to their families,” he said.
