CAVITE – A Chinese national was apprehended by the authorities after pointing a gun, which turned out to be an illegal firearm, at his kitchen helper's husband in Kawit on Sunday, Nov. 17.
A report from Regional Police Office 4A stated that the 35-year-old suspect is a businessman from Jilin, China, who currently resides in Brgy. Samala-Marquez.
According to the initial investigation, the victim went to the suspect’s house to pick up his wife.
For no apparent reason, however, the suspect reportedly drew his firearm and pointed it to the victim’s head.
Following the incident, the victim left the suspect’s house and sought assistance from the police.
Authorities arrested the suspect after he failed to present the required documents for his firearm.
The Chinese businessman is facing charges of grave threat and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
