Over 10,000 jobs to be offered to displaced POGO workers at DOLE job fair

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will provide a total of 10,331 job vacancies to displaced Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) workers from Nov. 19 to 20 in Pasay City.

DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma said the department is urging affected workers to seize the opportunities available at the second installment of the Project DAPAT Job Fair.

“Project DAPAT,” or the DOLE Action Plan and Transition Project, is the agency’s response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to support displaced workers in finding alternative employment.

The job fair will begin at 9 a.m., featuring 16 local employers offering roles such as sales consultants, cashiers, receptionists, encoders, drivers, delivery helpers, and service crew, based on a preliminary report from the DOLE-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR).

To streamline applications, a one-stop shop will assist job seekers with employment requirements.

Government agencies including the Department of Trade and Industry, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Social Security System, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Bureau of Internal Revenue, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine National Police, Philippine Statistics Authority, Professional Regulation Commission, and Philippine Postal Corporation will provide on-site services.

Applicants are encouraged to bring their resume, diploma, transcript of records, and government clearances to expedite the hiring process.
