BACOLOD CITY – A 58-year-old laborer was stabbed to death in Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday night, Nov. 17.

Police said the victim and his companion who were reportedly drunk passed by the house of the 48-year-old suspect who was having a drinking session with his older brother and a friend.
The suspect called called the victim and a heated argument and fistfight erupted.
The suspect pulled a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim and his companion.
The suspect’s 37-year-old wife and 50-year-old brother tried to pacify them but the suspect also attacked them.
The victim succumbed to multiple stab wounds. The suspect’s wife sustained injuries in the abdomen and his brother was stabbed in the left buttock. The victim’s companion had a stab wound in the left hand.
Police arrested and recovered the murder weapon from the suspect.
