Robber killed, companion nabbed in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – An armed robber was shot dead and his companion was wounded in Barangay Sumacab Este here on Sunday morning, Nov. 17.

Police Col. Ferdinand D. Germino, Nueva Ecija police chief, said police received a call about an ongoing robbery in a house.

Police caught the suspects who fired at responding officers. Lawmen retaliated and shot Bukol who died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds and arrested his 39-year-old companion.

Recovered from the suspects were two homemade caliber .38 revolvers.

Germino commended responding officers and assured that police will maintain the safety of the community and maintain law and order here.
