Las Piñas City City Mayor Imelda Aguilar ordered the city's Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council to be ready for possible evacuation of residents, especially those living in areas with high risk of flooding due to Super Typhoon Pepito.
Aguilar said the city’s command center conducts monitoring on the weather conditions bought by Pepito that is expected to bring heavy to intense rains with strong winds.
She said rescue equipment was already on standby for evacuation of those who will be affected by flooding.
The mayor also ordered the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for the preparation of relief goods medicines and medical kits for immediate distribution to residents who will be seeking temporary shelter at the evacuation sites.
Aguilar also reminded residents to be always prepared and keep themselves on alert for weather updates.
