The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released the 2024 Noche Buena Price Guide to assist consumers in making informed purchasing decisions for the holiday season.
DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque said, “Aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to promote consumer rights and responsibilities, this year’s Noche Buena Price Guide demonstrates the DTI’s commitment to empowering Filipino families to make informed choices.”
The guide covers 236 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) across 12 essential Noche Buena categories, including ham, queso de bola, fruit cocktail, and pasta.
The prices of various items are as follows:
- Ham ranges from P170.00 to P928.50.
- Queso de bola is priced between P210.00 and P445.00.
- Fruit cocktail costs from P61.76 to P302.50.
- Cheese ranges from P56.50 to P310.00.
- Mayonnaise is priced between P20.40 and P245.85.
- All-purpose cream costs between P36.50 and P72.00.
- Sandwich spread ranges from P27.00 to P263.60.
- Pasta/spaghetti is priced from P32.00 to P114.00.
- Elbow macaroni ranges from P30.50 to P126.25.
- Tomato sauce costs between P16.50 and P92.85.
- Salad macaroni is priced from P36.50 to P126.25.
- Spaghetti sauce ranges from P28.50 to P103.00.
The DTI assured consumers that these prices will remain effective until Dec. 31.
Roque noted that many essential Noche Buena items have maintained their 2023 prices, with some even showing reductions.
To make the guide user-friendly, the DTI has used markers: a star indicates no price change from the previous year, while a Christmas tree symbol highlights products with decreased prices.
Consumers are encouraged to check expiration dates and consider bulk purchases for potential savings.
