Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez issued a pre-emptive evacuation order due to the forecasted heavy rainfall and other severe impacts brought about Super Typhoon Pepito on Sunday, November 17 to Monday, November 18.

Olivarez ordered the pre-emptive evacuation to areas susceptible to flooding, inundation and storm surge as ST Pepito is expected to bring heavy to intense rains with strong winds.

He ordered all Barangay Disaster and Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) committees to identify their respective evacuation centers and activate camp coordination and camp management (CCCM).

The mayor strongly advised and encouraged the BDRRMC focal persons to coordinate closely with the City DRRM Emergency Local Operations Center (ELO Center) and provide regular status updates.

Olivarez said the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City DRRMO, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) will implement forced evacuation when the situation warrants basing on succeeding warnings from Philippine Atmospheric and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

He also advised residents to call the ELO Center at Local Hotline: 8820-PQUE (7783); Smart: 09610966249 and Emergency Hotline: 911 in case of emergency.
