Las Piñas LGU to receive Seal of Good Local Governance 2024 award

The Las Piñas City government will receive the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2024 award for passing the Department of Interior and Local Government's (DILG) assessment on various aspects of public service and good governance.

The SGLG recognition from the DILG marks a historic achievement for the city government under the leadership of Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar, highlighting their commitment to “Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo para sa Las Piñas.”

According to the DILG, the award is given to a local government unit that passes the 10 assessment approaches: Financial Administration and Sustainability; Disaster Preparedness; Social Protection and Sensitivity; Health Compliance and Responsiveness; Sustainable Education; Business Friendliness and Competitiveness; Safety, Peace, and Order; Environmental Management; Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts; and Youth Development.

Mayor Aguilar said the DILG recognition serves as her legacy to the residents under her administration.

She added that the achievement was made possible through the hard work of city officials in transforming Las Piñas into a progressive city.
